The District will hold a Landowners Workshop on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the District’s Five Points Shop and Field Office to discuss the Valley Clean Infrastructure Program (VCIP).
The Westlands Water District Board of Directors approved entering into an agreement with Golden State Clean Energy (GSCE) for the potential master planned development of solar energy facilities, energy storage and high-voltage electric transmission lines on District-owned lands, known as the the Valley Clean Infrastructure Program (VCIP). The agreement with GSCE anticipates and provides an option for private landowners to participate with GSCE under this master planning arrangement.
At the workshop, GSCE will provide an overview of the VCIP and the agreement between GSCE and the District, the development approach GSCE intends to take, compensation options for private landowners that participate in the program and the expected development schedule. GSCE will also provide information regarding the process for Landowners to participate in the VCIP.
You are encouraged to attend this workshop.
