Westlands Water District is requesting proposals to select a qualified design consultant / general contractor team for the Design-Build of Phase 1 of the Los Gatos Recharge Basin. The Los Gatos Recharge Basin is a multi-basin groundwater recharge facility planned to expand the District’s capacity to replenish local aquifers. The mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for October 15th, 2026 at 10:00 am at the District’s Huron Field Office located at 32450 Lassen Ave., Huron, CA 93234. Westlands Water District is requesting bids for construction to replace six valves ranging from 30-inch to 60-inch located on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley. Three valves are sluice gates inside sealed vaults. The remaining three valves are butterfly valves, inside an open vault. An additional butterfly valve replacement in an open vault is included as an add-alternative bid item, bringing the total potential scope to seven valves. The project is scheduled between November 1, 2026, and February 26, 2027.
