Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the Water Policy Committee of the Board of Directors of Westlands Water District will be held on January 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20, issued pursuant to the Governor’s State of Emergency proclamation, and in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting will occur exclusively through Zoom.

  2. Committee to Consider Corrections or Additions to the Agenda of Items, as authorized by Government Code Section 54950 et seq.
  3. Committee to Consider Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 15, 2020.
  4. Committee to Receive Update on Opportunity Cost Analysis and Consider Recommending Changes for 2021-22 Groundwater Management Program and Irrigation System Management Program rates.
  5. Committee to Consider Recommendation that the Board of Directors Adopts Resolution No. 102-21, Authorizing Execution of the Electric Service, Base Resource Contract 20-SNR-02330 (Contract) with the United States Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Sierra Nevada Region, and Related Actions.
  6. Committee to Consider Recommendation that the Board of Directors Authorizes Execution of an Agreement to Permanently Transfer Water Allocation with Westlands Water District Distribution No. 2 and its Landowners.
  7. Committee to Review and Provide Direction on Program that Provides Continued Benefits to Non-Irrigable Lands. 
  8. Committee to Consider Recommendation that the Board of Directors Authorizes Execution of a Purchase and Sales Agreement for Acquisition of 10 Acres Located in the NW1/4 of the NE1/4 of the SE1/4, in Section 32, T.21S., R.18E., M.D.B.&M.
  9. Committee to Receive Report on Past, Present, and Projected Water Supply and Use and Central Valley Project/State Water Project Operations.

    1. Item 9a – Board to Consider Execution of an Agreement to Permanently Transfer Water Allocation with Westlands Water District Distribution District No. 2 and its Landowners.
    2. Item 9b- Board to Review and Provide Direction on Program that Provides Continued Benefits to Non-Irrigable Lands.
    3. Item 17 –Consider Recommendation that the Board of Directors Authorizes Execution of a Purchase and Sales Agreement for Acquisition of 10 Acres Located in the NW1/4 of the NE1/4 of the SE1/4, in Section 32, T.21S., R.18E., M.D.B.&M.
  11. Written material distributed during a public meeting will be available for public inspection at the meeting, if prepared by the local agency or a member of its legislative body, or after the meeting if prepared by some other person.
