On November 3, 2026, the District will conduct an all-mail ballot general election. This election is for the office of Director and four seats must be filled.
Because an incumbent Director whose office is to be filled at the election did not file a Declaration of Candidacy by the close of the nomination period on August 7, 2026, the filing period has been extended pursuant to California Elections Code Section 10516. Eligible persons, other than the incumbent, may file a Declaration of Candidacy with the District Secretary no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2026. Declarations of Candidacy may be filed in person or by mail; however, any Declaration submitted by mail must be received by the District Secretary no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2026.
To qualify for the position of Director, the person shall be 18 years of age or older and be either:
- A holder of title to land within the District;
- The legal representative of the holder of title to land within the District in accordance with California Water Code Section 34030; or
- A representative designated by a holder of title to land within the District, if the holder of title has filed written evidence of that designation with the District.
