Dos Amigos Planned Shutdown

The District received notification from the Department of Water Resources (DWR) that the Dos Amigos Pumping Plant will shut down for maintenance from Monday, October 21, 2024, through Friday, October 25, 2024, from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

During this period, water delivery to turnouts south of the Dos Amigos Pumping Plant will be significantly limited. Water users with an active order during the shutdown need to reduce their planned consumption by half (50%). Additionally, no new water orders may be placed for the shutdown period. The Dos Amigos Pumping Plant will operate overnight and water orders may be placed for delivery for the period from 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM. DWR may further curtail deliveries if these restrictions are not sufficient for maintenance.

If a water user is found to be running water during the shutdown, and a lateral is drained or damaged, the water user could be liable for a lateral refill charge and/or any costs associated with the repair of that lateral. The District will notify water users of any updates.
