Westlands Water District has completed a preliminary canvass of ballots received at the District’s office before 1:00 p.m. on November 14, 2022, in the election for its Board of Directors.
The District is required by section 3020 of the Elections Code to consider as timely cast ballots postmarked on or before election day and received no more than seven (7) days after the election. The District also provides a notice and cure process for ballots not counted due to specific deficiencies, as established by District Resolution 125-20. Ballots of voters who cure deficiencies by November 23, 2022, will be counted. As such, the preliminary vote tally is likely to change.
Based on the canvass of ballots received before 1:00 p.m. on November 14, 2022, the following is the preliminary vote tally:
