SLDMWA’s O&M Water Rate Reduction
The San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority (SLDMWA) took action today at its May Board meeting and approved its O&M water rates for the 2017-2018 water year. As you may recall, the SLDMWA retained its 2016-2017 O&M water rates until reliable water supply estimates for the 2017-2018 water year could be determined. The 2017-2018 SLDMWA O&M water rates are based on the Bureau of Reclamation’s allocation announcement of 100 percent. With the SLDMWA rate reduction approved, the District’s Cost of Service rate is reduced from $187.98 per acre-foot to $174.43 per acre-foot. The revised rates are retroactive to March 1, 2017 and will be implemented in the April billing. Water users will see the rate reduction reflected in the May 10th billing.
